The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation got acquainted with the developments of the ISPMS SB RAS

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation V.N. Falkov visited the Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences as part of a working visit to the city of Tomsk. As part of a representative delegation, together with Valery Nikolayevich, the developments in the field of intelligent production technologies and materials science of the Institute were presented to the Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Scientific and Educational Complex and Digital Transformation L.M. Ogorodova, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Academician V.N. Parmon, a leading scientist of academic institutions of the city of Tomsk.

During the exchange of views, much attention was paid to the development of youth laboratories. In ISPMS SB RAS in 2018, within the framework of the national project "Science", 4 youth laboratories were created. At present, the youth laboratories of the Institute are successfully developing. More than 30% of the employees of these laboratories have publications in journals of the 1-2 quartiles (WoS), laboratory employees supervise 3 RSF grants, they defended 4 candidate and 2 doctoral dissertations.
