Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences

ISPMS SB RAS is one of the world leaders in the multilevel approach to the design and development of new materials for advanced technologies and structures.

The Institute priority is to provide the world-class interdisciplinary research and development of the fundamentals of materials science, multilevel computer-aided design, and competitive advanced materials with a hierarchical structure for key sectors of the Russian economy, including nuclear energy, aerospace industry, high-tech engineering and medicine, transport, extraction and transport of resources in the Arctic.

The activities of the Institute are aimed at solving urgent fundamental and applied problems under the state program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation”, the national project "Science and Universities", the scientific and technological strategy of the Russian Federation, and the decree of the President of the Russian Federation "On National Goals and Strategic Objectives of the Russian Federation up to 2024” in order to achieve global competitiveness and to ensure economic and technological independence of the key sectors of the Russian economy.
